Description
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining programs for the set up, operation and maintenance of automated equipment used to assemble electronic PC boards for NPI group. Performs complex programming of various types of equipment such
as automated placement, wave solder, screen printers, AOI, reflow ovens, and those used in Second Assembly. Develops and maintains other SMT related processes. Writes profiles and monitors equipment lines to ensure proper program performance, process efficiency, and ongoing quality. Performs complex quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting. Works with
production, engineering and machine operators to maintain equipment and to
ensure efficient operation of work centers to meet production schedules.
Performs customer specified modifications to programs. Performs
in-process inspection of product to verify proper assembly line operation
and quality. Maintains control of equipment file maintenance and backup
processes. Troubleshoots process/equipment problems and fault corrections.
Coordinates with vendor to support equipment repair, parts replacement,
tooling, and software upgrades. Provides operator training on all
automated equipment, and writes associated certification training modules.
Writes procedures for the operation and maintenance of equipment and
processes.

Experience/Skills

understand component data sheets and work with CAD translators, Gerber
translators, and machine vision systems. Must have training and experience
with workmanship
