Description
The Information Integration Services group within the Information Management organization is responsible for the design, development and deployment of common reusable data integration components that connect the organizations suite of business applications and decision support systems.

We are seeking a ETL (Extract, Transformation and Load) development analyst with some experience in developing and maintaining complex large-scale batch interfaces and ETL processes across transactional and data warehousing systems.

This resource should have some familiarity in the software development life cycle as their responsibilities will range from assisting business owners in requirements definition and taking ownership in creating detailed design specifications, to creation of all ETL code needed to match the business requirements with proper unit testing of such code. He/She will operate within the guidelines set forth by KP's Integration Information Services for all documentation and coding standards.

This resource will be assigned to the Disaster Recovery project. KP has two data centers Corona and Silver Spring. They are setting up a new topology with Production in Silver Spring and Dev / Test in Corona. All Test servers are mirrors of production and will be able to handle production duties in case of a failure. All DR is done through restores from tape. There is no hot swappable technology being used or failover technology just tape backups. This work has to be ready by March 31st. An design analysis will have to be done to determine what type of ETL tools are being used, what complexity of transformations are being done, create restore test plans, and schedule the tests.

Experience/Skills
The ideal candidate will have a technical background with some experience in the following technologies:
o Relational databases such as Teradata, DB2, Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server.
o Unix/AIX, WIN2000, and mainframe operating system environments.
o Shell scripting, perl, C++, C, Korn Shell
Leading ETL tools such as Ab Initio or Informatica
o Experience with Kaiser Permanente's HealthConnect and other Care Delivery applications as well as the Comprehensive Delivery Process (CDP) is desired.
