Description
Genesis10 in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst for a full time position in the Pasadena, CA area. Must have 5 years or more of SAS experience.
**Note..W2 only; No Third Parties....US Citizen/Green Card Holder only.

As part of a 25-person team, this individual will be charged with Designing, generating, and maintaining SAS analytical databases for healthcare utilization data.

Responsibilities:
* Extracts data from multiple platforms
* Builds analytical SAS databases
* Maintains, improves, and validates complex legacy databases
* Designs research plans for data gathering and analysis; participates significantly in interpreting analyses and developing action plans accordingly.
* Defines and frames complex multi dimensional healthcare issues and translates needs, issues, and ideas into effective strategies and action plans

Experience/Skills
Required Skills:
*Five or more years programming in SAS. SAS programming experience must be recent.
*Data Analysis and critical thinking skills
*Knowledge of Project management methodologies.
*Experience with analytical manipulation and interpretation of large databases.
*Typically five or more years of related analytical consulting experience (healthcare experience preferred).
*Experience with MVS/TSO operating systems required.
*Microsoft Office
*Exceptional analytic and critical thinking skills, writing skills, communication skills, consulting skills, and ability to work within a team.
*Ability to express complex analytical and technical information to senior management or to audiences with clinical training.
*Must be an independent self-starter, team-oriented and efficient.
*Masters degree required, or equivalent Bachelors degree and work experience in lieu of a Masters degree.

STRONGLY Preferred Skills:
*Experience with SQL, macros, AF, and PROC Report and statistical procedures in SAS.
*Knowledge of JCL
*Project management experience
