Description
GTA has a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Project Administrator to join our team in the Enterprise Program Management Office.

In this position, you will be providing project management and administrative support to the EPMO Section Director and project management consultants within the department. You will monitor and update project schedules, coordinate meeting logistics, collect and maintain project metrics, distribute project communications and maintain the EPMO knowledge center Project library. You will also assist the Enterprise Program Management Office with its education and training initiatives.

This is a position that involves interaction with people internal and external to GTA. If you wish to learn about project management, this is an ideal position for you and an entry point into a project management career.

Major Job Responsibilities:

Track project requirements, documentation, issues, funding and risks.
Help with meeting logistics such as preparing meeting notices and written communication, and taking meeting minutes.
Track project objectives and metrics. Distributes reports.
Update project plans and schedules and distributes to project team members. Stays abreast of significant changes.
Produce graphs, charts and reports to support the monitoring of projects.
Provide logistic support and communications to internal clients, team members and leadership.
Apply analytical skills to developing new processes and procedures
Work with the Atlanta chapter of the Project Management Institute to coordinate professional development activities for project managers in state government. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Displays conscientious effort in all endeavors

Experience/Skills
One year of IT administrative support experience Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Excel or Visio
Experience coordinating activities or events
Experience in a training environment
Experience administering projects
Experience developing schedules
Experience organizing records and files
Experience recording project action items and/or project team minutes
Knowledge of basic project management principles Experience in interacting with a wide variety of diverse clients (project members, end users, functional managers, etc.) Prior state government experience


Other desired skills:
