Project Analyst III (0668)

BASIC FUNCTION:
On a project basis, participates in the gathering and analysis of information for defining functional requirements, functional designs, development and implementation of the final project.  Performs routine to moderately complex analysis and research in support of business goals and strategies.  Implements modifications to solve problems.  These functions are performed with general guidance of a more senior project analyst.  Assists in day to day support activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the client in addressing problems/day to day issues of small to medium scope.  Analyzes information, determines feasible solutions and makes recommendations for resolution.

Converts business requirements into functional specification design on small to medium scope assignments.

Develops project assessments and plans, estimate timeframes and effort.

IT Lead projects of small scope under the guidance of a more Senior Business Analyst.

Adheres to all current standards and procedures and ensures all efforts are     properly tested and documented.

Develops test plans and scripts; performs testing for routine to moderately complex processes to ensure proper system functionality.

Provides consultation services to clients, technicians and Bank departments on basic to intricate functions of supported mainframe or distributed applications.  This may also include the review of system capabilities, operational procedures, forms, marketing material or cost analysis.

Develops a thorough understanding of the business being supported and its functions, processes, and operations.

Maintains a good functional understanding of the supported application(s).

Participates in planning and implementing new policies and procedures that will improve the performance and effectiveness of the department.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of two to four years of college; or four years experience in a technology/system analysis or operational support environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires professionalism in verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of one or more applications in the Hogan product suite (RPM, DDA, TDA, CIS); or comparable Bank application experience.

Very good analytical skills with the ability to understand development processes, procedures and methodologies.

General knowledge of personal computers and the ability to effectively use word processing, excel software and GroupWise.

General awareness of the Bank's application framework.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience with Systems Development methodologies.

Prior experience with Project Management Methodologies.

Prior experience with database query & reporting tools.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
