Description
Basic Function:

The primary function of this position is to act as an operational systems administrator for all Item Processing applications.

Responsibilities:
Acting on behalf of the end users, the System Administrator will be responsible for all Item Processing applications, data and processes involving but not limited to image based/client server applications.  Such responsibility includes, but is not limited to, acting as the primary liaison between Operations and Central Technology and/or Information Technology.

The system administrator will work in conjunction with the operational teams to ensure optimum system performance and up time, make recommendations to improve systematic processes and will be responsible for trouble shooting all errors and/or problems.

The analyst will work varying hours as required by their systems, which will include both some 1st shift as well as some 2nd shift hours.  This individual will also rotate on call coverage for the systems they support, which is 24/7 on call support.

Analyst may be assigned to project teams and will participate in meetings on the client's behalf to ensure all needs are met through the project life cycle.  May be required to work in operational environments to gain indepth understanding of core operational functions and processes.

Will assist in the creation of detailed project plans and test scripts and ensure their inclusion in formal project timelines.  May perform some of the actual testing, or minimally assist the operational group in performing the actual test, including creation of paper documents/test decks where applicable.

May perform other project related support to include analysis, documentation of business requirements, functional specifications or project management.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of work experience.  
Minimum of three years mainframe/PC system experience.   
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact with client personnel at all levels within the organization.
Some experience with UNIX operating systems preferred.df-tc
