PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The primary role of the Project Analyst is to support the development and implementation of major enhancements and new releases to the Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Operations record keeping system. In addition, the Project Analyst may, at times, support testing and issue resolution relative to other systems and processes involved in the RPS record keeping environment (i.e. RPS Front End Systems, RPS Loan Paperwork). This includes but is not limited to working with RPS, TRP Operations (TRPO) and TRP Information Technology (TRPIT) on developing system requirements, testing system functionality, identifying and resolving issues, developing implementation plans and providing post production support. The Project Analyst also represents the business view/perspective on all project related activities and meetings.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develops and executes testing plans based on business requirements to validate new process/functionality as well as their corresponding impact to supporting systems of new enhancements, new services, and upgrades to be incorporated into the RPS recordkeeping system; evaluates and documents results. Performs system testing to validate current and new functionality within the recordkeeping system. Analyzes the overall impact of issues on systems and processes in order to quickly develop an overall assessment for management. Identifies and reports testing/system issues to management in a timely manner to ensure quick resolution.

* Partners with various RPS and TRPO business areas to prepare and support business for pre and post system changes/implementations. Because the OmniPlus record keeping system is utilized and supports major processes within the RPS Operations, it requires a collaborative effort to ensure that all functions/departments reach agreement upon proposed changes, including meetings to determine impact prior to system changes as well as meetings after the system change takes implementation to ensure optimal results are achieved with minimal impact. As issues arise due to changes, the incumbent determines resolution for management review and partners with affected functions.

* Conducts training and assists with updates to training materials as required. Partners with TIPS to determine learning objectives. Works with TIPS to support training needs resulting from new implementation, which includes acting as a subject matter expert on updating procedures.

* Works directly with the business and TRPIT to develop system requirements for new or enhanced functionality. Clearly and concisely articulates information to various parties including team members, management, business groups and TRPIT.

* Collaborates with other functional business units in the development of recommendations to resolve issues. Works directly with the business and TRPIT in the implementation of recommended solutions. If issues are identified with upgrades or enhancements, acts as point of contact for the business and IT regarding the recordkeeping system and/or integrated systems/processes which utilize the recordkeeping system. In resolving system problems, recognizes all parties and processes that may be involved in order to determine a resolution for implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS

* College degree preferred
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel macros preferred
* Experience with Microsoft Access preferred
* Strong understanding of the systems and processes that are utilized by RPS and that may interact with OmniPlus to form the RPS Operations recordkeeping environment preferred
* Retirement plan record keeping experience preferred
* Basic understanding of processes and systems that support the RPS Operations recordkeeping environment preferred
* Ability to work in a team environment supporting major implementation of new/enhanced services preferred
* Demonstrated eagerness to help coworkers and process teams accomplish operating objectives preferred
* Ability to work on multiple diverse work assignments with aggressive deadlines preferred
* Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal direction preferred
* Good organization and planning skills preferred
* Sound analytical and decision making skills
* Strong written and communication skills
* Deadline and detail oriented
* Prior experience making presentations to small audiences (ex. Team meetings, classroom presentations)
* Knowledge of calculator text in conjunction with transaction processing on RPS Ops recordkeeping system
* Strong understanding of plan/participant level data elements and their structure in Omni Plus
* Completion of T933 and T966 training or demonstrated proficiency with each
* Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word).
* High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience, or college degree required
