CTA Communications , a division of HSMM, provides a full range of communications engineering consulting services. CTA Communications offers an extensive background working with both public and private sector clients, including municipalities, state governments, public utilities, corporations, and industries. Members of the CTA Communications' staff have designed communications systems for more than 30 years, including two-way radio systems, data communications systems, microwave and fiber systems, telephone and E9-1-1 systems.

CTA Communications, a subsidiary of HSMM, is searching for aProject Controls Specialist to:

Job Scope:

Using Critical Path management, a visual representation of the sequence of events throughout a project will be created. A schedule is then generated based on a list of activities or tasks, identified by the owner and contractor and is updated regularly as the project progresses. The goal of the schedule is to allocate the resources with the highest efficiency at the lowest costs within the project time-line. This involves the updating of the project based on inputs from the owner, contractor, subcontractors and other factors. The Critical Path refers to the activities that are crucial to the projects timely completion. Activities on the critical path must occur on time to keep the project on schedule. Updating the schedule regularly enables us to identify lag times, delays, scheduling conflicts, time constraints and overruns throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

Generate Pert and Gantt schedules using Microsoft Project (MS) software.
Update schedules regulatrly and as needed.
Performs other tasks as needed

Skills and Abilities:

Must be proficient in MS Office Project 2007
Proficient in MS Office 2007 including word, excel, outlook and Adobe software.
Strong interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Possesses professional and courteous interaction skills with clients both by telephone and in person
Able to work under pressure
Multi-task oriented and consistency in work is a must.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or associated field.

Experience:

At least 5 years experience in MS Project to include version 2007.
Must be familiar with the type of work CTA Communications performs..
