Description
Kaiser Permanente, parterning with Genesis10 Consulting, is seeking an experienced project coordinator for a 3-month contract in Cupertino, CA.

The project is a capital construction project being run by KP's National Facilities service to construct a medical office building, central utility plant and replacement hospital in Santa Clara. KP-IT is the subcontractor responsible for putting in the infrastructure to support the voice and data needs. The project is targeted to complete in 2007.

Phase of the Team: The medical office building is in the last stages of completion and is scheduled for practitioner move-in and open for members by June 6th.

We are looking for a contractor to fill a project administrator/coordinator position in support of our Project Manager. This is an interim position that will eventually be filled by an FTE. However, we are not looking for a contract to hire since the FTE will be filled by the Project Coordinator group that is part of the ePMO as soon as they have an approved req to hire. We are expecting the contractor to provide immediate support for our PM while an FTE is sourced and hired. The contractor could apply for the FTE position when the req is posted.

Responsibilities:
•Assist Project Manager by preparing and submitting Purchase Orders and Capital Requests forms through Ariba.
•Assist Project Manager by creating Remedy RFCs for resources.
• Assist Project Manager by tracking and expediting equipment orders.
• Assist Project Manager by preparing and distributing project communications and reports, creating and distributing project documents.
• Assist Project Manager in maintaining and tracking project financials.
• Participate in project team meetings and assist in documenting action items, user requirements and project schedules.

Top 3-4 required skills:
In-depth experience with MS Office.
In-depth experience with MS Project or NIKU.
Previous project admin/coordinator experience supporting a PM on a very large project.
Ariba or Remedy.

Top 3-4 required soft-skills/personality characteristics:
Detail-oriented.
Ability to work in a highly volatile environment with getting overly stressed.
Ability to anticipate PM needs and be proactive rather than reactive Number of team members vary based on activities. There are other PMs on the team responsible for smaller segments of the team. This PM is responsible for all of the IT activities.
