Project Development SpecialistLocation: Carrollton, TXJob Description:As a member of our Engineering Team, you'll be responsible for new releases of our core product. The primary responsibility of the Project Development Specialist is to provide coordination and oversight for large scale, multi-team, projects. The Project Development Specialist is the lead business analyst and formulates the product requirements for future releases. You will manage overall project schedules, identify dependencies and critical paths, and resolve scheduling conflicts. You will lead interdisciplinary project teams while working closely with internal and external customers, to provide status reporting. This role involves the coordination of multiple projects simultaneously and requires excellent organizational skills. You'll use your talents and problem-solving ability to analyze clients' needs, market direction and competition to ensure our product delivery exceeds our customer's expectations. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and a history of academic and professional success. You will need to be self motivated and willing to dig into a problem to find answers. Knowledge of and experience in ambulatory health care setting is a plus. Communication skills must be superior and be able to display enthusiasm with a calm and professional demeanor.Essential Functions* Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of a large group of professional, technical, and/or administrative personnel (both employees and contractors) in the implementation of a new information technology project or major enhancement.* Acts as a liaison between all project stakeholders.* Tracks, manages and integrates project plans with business plans to realize corporate goals and objectives.* Project initiation, project planning and estimating, monitoring progress and status reporting, project scheduling tracking and control, issues and risk management, controlling project scope, and change management.* Leads the effort to discover the best solution to solve our customer's needs, including mocking up a design and pitching the project to internal and external customers.* Assembles and manages project team, assigning individual responsibilities and coordinating activities.* Identifying resources and skill sets required to complete the project.* Providing leadership and appropriate recognition to project team members.* Ensure timely project completion, within scope and budget.* Assures effective documentation.* Assures the software meets the needs and requirements of user clients.* Organizes and manages all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.* Manages project communication and providing accurate consistent reporting to other departments, managers, and the executive team regarding Project Status, Issues and concerns.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * A professional demeanor which allows the individual to interface and communicate (oral, written, presentations, training, customer interactions, etc) clearly and present both technical and non-technical information effectively with peers and/or various levels of middle-to-senior management. * Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish superior working relationships leading to a positive experience all team members. * A team player and a big-picture thinker with a superior business and technical intellect. * Ability to focus and pay attention to detail, handle complex projects with ease and confidence; lead a team of people to a common goal; perform well in pressure situations; effectively mentor, train, develop and motivate others; effectively interface with technical teams. * Excellent project planning and project management skills on software development or systems integration projects. * Highly organized, creative and analytical thinker with strong business, team-building skills with initiative and strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment and work to tight deadlines. * Skill in working with groups to build consensus. * Ability to exercise flexibility, while adhering to fundamental project management concepts and adaptable to changes in assignments and work environment. * Manage time effectively and efficiently. * Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and automated project planning and project management software tool, such as Microsoft Projectdf-tc
