Description
This is a great direct hire opportunity for a Structural Project Engineer in Auburn. The Project Engineer will have direct interaction with project managers and customers in fulfilling contracts for various applications. The responsibilities for this position include overall project design and coordinating activities for the generation of general arrangement drawings, fabrication details, shop planning packages and bills of materials from design sketches, sales orders and customer specifications. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, design experience in the power generation industry, or with ducting systems, stacks and/or fabricated weldments. The ideal candidate will have experience with welded fabrications; steel structures; weld processes and materials; good mechanical aptitude; math skills and the ability to function in a fast paced environment with little supervision. The candidate must be able to apply building codes and seismic requirements to structural components, determine foundation loads and support other project engineers with structural calculations. The candidate must have the ability to travel as needed, and experience with MS Office programs and AutoCAD. Experience with STAADPRO or STAAD a plus.
