Position Details
The chosen candidate will be responsible for the design and inspection of electrical power and control systems for heavy movable structures (drawbridges), roadway lighting systems, toll plaza systems, airport lighting and navigational aids, and various other transportation related and power distribution infrastructures. These projects offer exposure to a variety of electrical technologies as well as a balance between office and field work.

Participate in collection and analysis of data and preparation of electrical system designs including power system, control logic, lighting systems, and equipment layout. Provide direction to drafting personnel in preparing design drawings. Perform design calculations, conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design drawings, specifications, and estimate. Manage small groups of Electrical Engineers and coordinate designs with multiple engineering disciplines, as required to complete assigned tasks.

- Supervise and direct small groups of engineers working on a project
- Ability to interact directly with clients
- Perform design calculations.
- Manage project budgets and schedules.
- Perform quantity estimates and construction cost estimates.
- Complete preparation of Contract Drawing.
- Complete preparation of Contract Specifications
- Complete preparation of Contract Estimates
- QA/QC of Contract Documents
- Perform specific short term design applications.
- Organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments.

Experience/Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
8 years of experience in the electrical field. In-depth knowledge of electrical power and control systems including switch gear selection, voltage drop, three phase analysis, motors, short circuit analysis, ladder logic, etc.
Previous experiencing managing and supervising an engineering team is required in this role.
Certification Required PE
