Summary:

The Project Lead role involves driving the continued development of multi-tier distributed applications in a Windows/Internet environment. This role is responsible for providing design project management, following department standards and procedures, overseeing the development of code to ensure high quality including conducting code reviews, partnering with the QA team, and resolving defects.

Responsibilities:

The Project Lead is expected to perform program and system analysis, conduct technology Proofs of Concepts, and develop, design and test complex program logic. Candidates should be proficient in providing technical leadership, facilitating cross group collaboration, driving complex issues to closure and coordinating team deliverables.

Experience/Skills
Experience should include 5+ years .NET (C#, ASP. NET, ADO.NET); 6+ years Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Studio 6.0, ASP, COM+, HMTL, MS SQL Server 2000; 3+ years XML, XSL, Schema; Directly related Web application experience; Excellent technical writing skills; Demonstrated leadership ability; A willingness to accommodate a rapidly changing development environment (can adapt quickly). Insurance knowledge is a plus. An undergraduate degree is required and a graduate degree is preferred. Equivalent experience can be substituted for the degree requirement. Previous Software Developer Lead experience in a start up environment would be beneficial.
