Investigations Consultant

Under management guidance, the Investigations Consultant will plan, direct and be accountable for the investigation of data breaches involving personal customer and proprietary company data. This data includes, but is not limited to, Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI), Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) and sensitive proprietary Client information.

Investigations Consultant will participate and handle sensitive or high profile investigations that may have political or social ramifications within the company and/or public domain. Interpret all relevant data, file and account for investigative reports to appropriate officials and law enforcement agencies, adhering and complying with all appropriate laws, procedures, rules, and regulations pertaining to investigations, specifically in adherence and compliance to FCC rules and regulations.

Investigations Consultant will review Client systems, applications and databases that contain CPNI/SPI data elements and identify vulnerabilities. Consultant will recommend solutions to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and coordinate as needed. Monitoring processes will also be proposed and implemented for early detection of compromises of CPNI/SPI data.

Investigative Consultant may also investigate, but not limited to, theft of company assets, loss, theft or compromise of Co. information, misuse of Co. funds, fraud, unauthorized use of company facilities, collusion or conflict of interest, employee misconduct, computer-related offenses, including, but not limited to, unauthorized activity originating from company systems, unauthorized access or exceeding authorized access, access of, or possession of, unauthorized materials. Investigative Consultant will be required to conduct investigative interviews with internal employees and external suspects.

Investigative Consultant will report to, and coordinate with, internal management, Corporate Security Director, Privacy Office, Legal, Executive Customer Relations, IT departments, Customer Service, the FCC, law enforcement, Client customers & Agents, and/or any other entity, internal or external to Client, that is necessary to fulfill investigative, departmental, corporate, legal and FCC requirements.

Competencies

· Effective communication and influencing skills a must. Analytical skills to identify and assess exposure to loss, to examine alternative risk control techniques; implement and monitor to improve results.

· Effective consulting and negotiating skills to influence peers and client group.

· Ability to set goals and deploy in an effective manner to achieve improvements in performance or processes.

· Extreme discretion in handling confidential information.

· IT systems experience – Security related.

· Certification as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred.

· Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form.

Minimum Requirements: College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience with 1 year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or 7 years professional level related experience with 1 year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.

Desired Qualifications: CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), Reid Certified in Interrogation and Interviewing, evidence control and accountability, investigations experience, interviewing, system, network and computer experience.
