If you're interested in a challenging career in one of the fastest moving fields today, you've come to the right place.Primary Responsibilities- Drive success by serving as project manager for small to large projects sponsored by R&D and manufacturing operations.- Raise the level of project management effectiveness through contributing to and leading areas of project effectiveness programs.- Adhere to department project methodology and apply industry best practices.- Balance business objectives, cost, quality, and schedule to support effective investment.- Understand stakeholder needs & processes and document requirements effectively.- Apply effective project management practices, such as change control, risk management, etc.- Identify and recruit resources required in projects; manage teams comprising of business, systems and IT personnel. - Meets budget and financial constraints, and audit compliance.- As a key communicator on projects, acts as liaison and establish communication and escalation plans.- Demonstrate enthusiasm, take accountability and drive for results.- Communicates system changes and issues at all levels to relevant users, stakeholders and management.- Works effectively as part of a team and able to influence management and obtain commitments in areas outside own authority. Secondary Responsibilities- Coordinates and negotiates the utilization of resources across projects and programs. - Participates in industry and professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends, and best practices.- Participates in contract and legal negotiations with suppliers and professional service providers.- Be a key influencer in raising the project management capability of the department. - Provide guidance on project metrics and mentoring on project initiation, control, and closure.- Ensure that the solution implemented is scalable and flexible. Always pursue standard solutions if available.- Perform high level analysis of overall systems architecture, and drive design discussions. - Recommend and implement changes to internal processes to improve team productivity and throughput.- May be required to manage a group of external consultants.Qualifications - Bachelors or Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience - Project management certification or equivalent education is desirable- Excellent understand of project management processes- Minimum of 5 years of leading successful cross-functional business systems projects with varying sizes and complexity; preferably manufacturing systems and/or NPI - Must have knowledge of ERP or manufacturing systems Job Skills- Strong interpersonal and group communication skills (includes verbal, written, and presentation). - Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills- Solid analytical skills to understand existing business processes - Ability to lead a team of 3-20 members, delegate tasks and monitors progress- Strong team interaction skills - Customer service oriented - Advance level skills with MS Office - Strong ability to articulate a problem and provide creative solutions and direction to the team - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Job Knowledge- In-depth industry related knowledge - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of underlying technology of main systems supported, e.g SAP, manufacturing suite of applications- Understanding AB business processes and culture Additional Job Abilities - Requires the ability to perform independently and/or as part of a team and to lead projects- Requires ability to translate business needs into requirements documentation.
