Project Manager - Internet Marketing

Project Manager - Journeyman

. Manage all the day-to-day activities of a project.
. Creates staffing plan and manages staff, both internal and external.
. Coordinate interfaces between the project teams if multiple teams are involved.
. Responsible for producing project management deliverables.
. Monitor and communicate project costs and schedule.
. Control project scope and facilitate change management process.
. Lead and mentor staff in project management techniques.
. A journeyman level would be fully trained and competent in the role, but have less experience than the senior level person.
. Typically at least three years of experience in the role would be needed to reach this level.
. For emerging technologies the experience level may be less, but the ability to learn and experience in similar technologies would be present.

Responsibilities

. Coordinates multiple request, enhancements and small projects from multiple clients in the Marketing Department
. Reports to the IS Deputy Support Director, with dashed line report to the Marketing Assistant Directors
. Attends both client and IS team meetings
. Position will be co-located within the business department and the IS department.
. Day to day works with business clients to understand their goals and objectives, and enters them into a request database for IS.
. Clarifies requirements and priorities of all requests
. Tracks progress of requests, and works with clients to resolve conflicts
. Coordinates/directs the business follow up with the business client (for example: following up with other business areas, doing quality assurance testing, communication to stakeholders, etc.)
. Identifies and communicates risk and changing priorities to the appropriate clients
. Creates and updates appropriate reporting on progress, etc.
. Provides on-going & timely communication to all stakeholders
. Facilitates the regular status and priority setting meeting with Marketing and IS

. At least 2-3 years of project management/project coordination/test coordination experience
. Demonstrated experience managing multiple efforts
at the same time
. Demonstrated experience working with multiple clients and partners, who all have different styles and expectations.
. Prior experience in web development strongly desired
. Experience using formal Project Management methodologies
. Demonstrated orientation toward partnering as a business approach.
. Experience with Marketing preferred
