Project Manager â?? GA

The Project Manager will play an integral role in providing leadership to global engagement teams. Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and ensure successful on-time, on-budget delivery of multiple large-scale development or enterprise projects.

This position will be based in Atlanta, GA.

Key Attributes/Requirements:

Demonstrated competency leading, managing & delivering large complex programs / projects in Financial Services market vertical: with strong domain knowledge; knowledge of key trends in the industry from a market, technology and regulatory standpoint
Prior ownership for delivery: demonstrated competency in defining delivery strategy, program / project forecasting, managing and reporting on key business and financial metrics (revenue, margin and profitability, delivery team ratios and pyramids, client delight and internal delight)
Demonstrated experience in managing complex, distributed application development projects in a consulting environment
Skilled in strategic program / project planning and execution
Prior accountability for multiple programs / projects
Expertise working with and building trusted advisor relationships with sponsors, stakeholders & Senior Management.
Additional Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent, or related field;
4+ years demonstrated success in Project or People Management skills, and/or Client management of enterprise account
Proven customer management skills and strong track record of achieving lasting working relationships with customers and colleagues up to Senior Director level.
Appreciation of technologies employed in complex, distributed environments
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate with sponsors and stakeholders up to a Senior Management level.
Ability to apply Quality principles to management activities.
Strong People management skills
Full life-cycle software development, delivery and support experience
Understanding of program / project business objectives.
Working with equipment suppliers, ISVs and Offshore subcontractors
Very good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and present to colleagues and managers at all levels
Strong metrics background relative to project performance and quality measurement
Ability to contribute as analyst a strong plus
Demonstrates strong personal and professional values that are aligned with Virtusa Corporate Values: Pursuit of Excellence, Integrity, Respect and Leadership (PIRL).
PMI certification a strong plus.
Travel up to 30-40%
Role Description:

Management responsibility for a large project or a set of projects
Direct responsibility for scheduled development, finalization of estimates, communication planning, project status reporting, issues management, risk management, project accounting & time trackingk, invoicing and client satisfaction.
Demonstrate delivery quality through the end to end delivery process. Support with statistics.
Give regular feedback, through presentations etc, to Customer representatives to obtain operational commitment to suggested System and Business Process Changes
To report on progress and issues weekly.
To actively support, at all times, company policy and practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information and protection of the client network against security violations. Ensure government security policies are adhered to.
To maintain an up-to-date and accurate view of issues and risks impacting the Domain Management deliveries into the project
To liaise with the client development and test organizations as appropriate.
To support pre sales effort, drive proposals, coordinate pricing discussions and create work orders.
