Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Member of a team focused on the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of D3, the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts strategic data warehouse. Lead the design and maintain the architectural integrity of the system as new batch and real-time sources are added to the environment. Analyze, design and develop real-time highly efficient processes for data extraction, translation and loading using a relational database structure and various development technologies. Analyze existing data warehouse environments to prepare them for future strategic migration. Work independently within a team, receiving general direction with occasional work product reviews.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
  • Proven experience and strong understanding of C, C++, and/or C# programming languages
  • Proven strong experience in the design and development of software development in a complex environment
  • Proven experience and strong understanding of various relational database technologies (Oracle, DB2, SQLServer)
  • Proven experience and exceptionally strong understanding of SQL
  • Demonstrated experience with development on a Unix platform
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of real-time programming
  • Proven knowledge of the software development cycle
  • Proven knowledge of systems analysis and technical design
  • Demonstrated data management and data quality skills
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a high performance development team

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience with Teradata database management system
  • Proven experience in the .NET development environment
  • Proven experience with Python
  • Proven knowledge and exposure to middleware concepts and MQSeries
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts
