Description
Prestigious Fortune 500 Company located in Chicagos Western Suburbs is currently seeking a Certified PMP Project Manager to develop and implement all methodologies, practices, and procedures within the PMO. Candidates will assist in projects within the specified IT department.

Responsibilities:

Model selected projects with project planning tools. Interact with management and staff to construct project models. Interact with staff to status the plans.

Report on project status and advise management; maintain and update the models.

Make cross-cut comparisons with other databases and project information. Advise management as part of a team; does not have responsibility for executing the projects. Develop mechanism by which future projects may be organized and managed.

Requirements:

This position will require frequent interaction with professionals working on a variety of high-pressure projects, and requires a calm and professional demeanor backed by a credibility sufficient to influence project success. This professional should be well versed in project management 'body of knowledge', and facile with project management tools. Technical skills should be at the level of a PMI PMP certification or equivalent. The candidate will be required to make frequent reports and presentations to both project staff and management.

Project data must be kept well organized, with working version of project plans with status always available.

Education:
Bachelors Degree preferred
PMP Certification preferred
