JOB DESCRIPTION

The Event Planning and Process Manager is responsible for building and managing the clients Video and Satellite services team, developing policies and procedures for service offerings in this space, managing both the customer experience and day to day technical operations while working closely with architecture, engineering, product management and other groups to ensure the successful and rapid growth & deployment of video and satellite services to company leaders around the world. This job requires a passion for customer service excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess-
- -a successful leadership track record with demonstrated experience managing complex and demanding customer relationships
- -possess the demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast path, high growth technology environment
- -experience in developing an actionable customer service strategy
- .a proven knowledge of customer service platforms & solutions and is able to produce operational plans and deliver upon them.

Specifically, you must have-
- 10+ years of proven success in customer service and operations, leading customer driven company
- B.S./B.A. preferably in either business or communications.
- Strong, proven leadership skills and highly developed interpersonal skills to lead and manage a team.
- Energetic and infectious leadership in a fast paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with and calm customers.
- Excellent computer skills- Web applications, Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel. Expertise with Salesforce.com a plus.
- A proven ability to leverage CRM systems
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Team & Process Management (50%)
Recruit, develop and lead a small, highly motivated, self-contained team of support and operational professionals. Establish the processes and workflow mechanisms to lead and evaluate this team in delivering utterly delightful business support to our independent sales force.
Customer Service Champion (30%)
Act as a champion for excellent customer service and build a strong reputation among your customer base as being a department that consistently delivers high quality support.
Change Agent (20%)
You will partner with other members of the leadership team to develop and institutionalize new practices or programs that improve the business experience for users of video and satellite services, with the ultimate goal of making them successful in carrying out the mission of the client. Improve operational processes around event tracking, fulfillment and notification. Identify roadblocks to your teams success and work to implement short and long term improvements.
EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES
- Manage complex customer relationships and provide on-going customer support.
- Oversee video & satellite services and the employees that deliver those services.
- Develop, implement and maintain standardized workflows that ensure exceptional customer interactions.
- Direct customer communication programs
- Manage and enhance the technology that supports the customer service function.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality & customer service strategy.
- Lead a team of trainers to build a comprehensive curriculum and drive continuous learning.
- Professionalism in all aspects of communication.
- Act as technical consultant for available technologies to various client departments and leaders.
- Work to define specific metrics of services to manage capacity, availability, growth, etc.
- Create process initiatives to improve customer satisfaction for services.
- Provide overall technical leadership for the design, development and deployment of video and satellite services.
- Provide development guidance and system test oversight for delivery of services.
