We are adding a Project Manager to our Cisco Practice.



Berbee's Cisco Practice is a single-source provider to our clients for all things Cisco. We have more than 125 Cisco Certified Engineers on staff, including engineers for network infrastructure, unified communications, contact center, IP telephony application development, security, storage and wireless. With more than seven years of Voice over IP experience, Berbee has completed more than 1,000 Cisco IP Communication projects. Berbee is a Cisco Gold Certified Partner and has been named IP Communications Partner of the Year for both 2005 and 2004, marking five straight years of Cisco Partner awards due to our high customer service ratings and advanced technology expertise.



This position will be part of the team in our Milwaukee office. Berbee’s first branch office, Milwaukee features an IBM Innovation Center with demo-equipment, a technology lab for seminars and client presentations, and a convenient, central location for staff and visitors. The highly qualified consultants consistently keep this branch as one of the top providers in hardware and services in the Milwaukee marketplace.





Responsibilities:


The incumbent of this position will:

• Manage projects involving implementation Cisco technologies including Call Manager, Unity Voicemail, Call Center products, and integration with existing PBX's

• Manage a highly technical team of individuals to implement an enterprise infrastructure design, build, and migration

• Lead the delivery of Berbee projects using the proven Berbee engagement methodology

• Manage overall project performance, including timelines, costs, resources, and risks

• Manage customer expectations for projects; prepare weekly/monthly status reports

• Utilize project management software including MS Project/Project Server

• Work closely with Berbee engineers to identify and understand the variables and requirements for projects

• Identify project risks and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for resolution and mitigation; perform contingency planning

• Incorporate process improvement and change management strategies in planning

• Prepare QA specifications to guide and measure the success of the project deliverables

• Keep technical, communications, and business skills current, with an emphasis on understanding emerging technologies/regulations/security issues and their impact on Berbee customers



Qualifications:




• Minimum of four years of experience leading significant projects

• Infrastructure project management experience; consulting experience preferred

• Experience in PBX, voice mail, and automatic call distribution usage

• Bachelor’s degree in business or computer-related field or equivalent experience

• PMI Certified

• Knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, desktops, applications, operating systems, Internet services, ISP business, network and computer security topics and current networking trends

• Working knowledge of Gantt and Pert charts

• Demonstrated ability to communicate, lead, build teams, work independently, and recommend business strategies

• High degree of organization and attention to detail

• Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs

• Willingness to travel up to 25%

• Exceptional technic
