Description
The Sr. Project Manager has primary ongoing responsibility for management of enterprise Datawarehouse and Reporting projects. The position will be responsible for all aspects of the project waterfall life cycle which includes the initiation, requirements, design, build, testing and implementation phases. Must maintain effective communication with sponsors, stakeholders, and champions as well as effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Typical project size is $500,000 to $1 million with a team size of 20 to 25 persons.

* Coordination of the day to day activities of team members for large Datawarehouse and Reporting projects.
* Creation and management of the project plan to ensure timely completion of the project - On time, within budget and maintaining scope.
* Conduct regularly scheduled project review meetings with project team members and stakeholders.
* Assume the overall responsibility and accountability to drive the project to success as defined by the project executive sponsor and key stakeholders.
* Follow a structured and practical method for managing cost, scope, risks and issues.
* Work effectively with internal and external clients, third party vendors, and senior management in accomplishing project objectives.
* Actively support client Project Management methodologies working closely with the Project Management Office.

Required Technical Skills:
* 8 to 10 years of solid project leadership/project management experience.
* Prior experience in managing Datawarehouse projects to successful implementations.
* Strong project management skills and familiarity with Project Management methodologies and SDLC.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project for planning, tracking and resource leveling.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Preferred Technical Skills:
Insurance Industry knowledge, preferred.

Required Soft Skills:
* Self motivated and directed.
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Ability to communicate technical information in a business friendly manner.
* Impeccable verbal and written communication skills

Education and Certifications:
* 4 year College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business
* CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification and/or other industry and project management certifications preferred.df-tc
