Description
Quantronix is looking for a Project Manager - Derivative to work at our Client's site. Our client is a very large investments firm handling over $500 billions assets. The successful candidate will work across a team of system analysts, developers and software engineers providing an enterprise implementation of a derivatives system. There are a number of data, order management tools and applications in various stages of development and product implementation. This role will encompass work from project inception through implementation and is responsible for achieving project goals and meeting project deadlines. The Project Manager should be able to build strong working relationships with our internal clients, members of our direct teams and across different groups within Information Services. The Project Manager must be self-motivated and comfortable taking on significant responsibility in an energetic, fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Responsibilities: * Obtain commitments and schedule the projects accordingly. * Ensure that all responsibilities are clearly communicated, from requirements gathering to developing a solid quality assurance plan. * Create and communicate realistic project schedules with input from technology and business partners. * Track projects closely and foster collaboration from both the business and technology groups. * Work with the issue owners to clarify and resolve issues, defining target dates and dependencies. * Manage risks throughout the project by identifying, communicating, tracking and mitigating. Manage dependencies and track milestones. * Assesses performance and provides feedback of assigned project personnel.

Requirements:

Required Skill/Experience: * Minimum five years experience as a dedicated Project Manager. * In addition, at least three years prior experience in a related role such as Systems Analyst or Software Developer, in order to ensure a broad systems background. * Experience in all phases of software development lifecycle. * Very good knowledge of exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivative data base structures and instrument analytics. * Proven accomplishments in managing multi year, iterative development and production release projects. * Excellent organization and communication skills (both written and verbal). * Proven leader and team player. * Experience with UP, or similar Project Management frameworks, and with UML and Use Case methodologies. * Demonstrates rigorous structured approach to project management. Applies best practice project management methods. * Driven and committed to overcome obstacles and deliver the project on time. * Delivery-focused, yet flexible and creative when called upon. * Well-developed facilitation and collaboration skills. * Proficient in MS Project and MS Excel. * Advanced degree and Financial industry experience are required. * PMP certification preferred.df-tc
