SofTec I.T. has a client in Columbia, SC seeking a Project Manager/Account Manager. This is a great opportunity with a growing progressive company in the insurance industry. Applicants must have experience in auto commercial, personal lines as well as P&C and Workman's Comp. Must also be willing to travel 30-50%.

Experience/Skills
The incumbent will manage I.T. business projects or I.T. sponsored technology projects.

Translates business needs into understandable requirements. Oversees Business Analysis staff and participates in the development and management of project plans related to the application development
initiatives, from project planning and design through testing, implementation and maintenance.


Incumbents in this job have a considerable understanding of current and emerging I.T. products, services, processes, and methodologies, along with a continuing understanding of the business function and process.



Successful candidate's are able to understand business requirements, goals,and risks in order to formulate and define the technical scope and objectives of projects.


Incumbents have solid business and organizational skills, participate in both business and I.T.strategic planning and demonstrate leadership in the use of business analysis tools and methodologies.



Incumbents are also responsible for educating project team members and the
business community on the impact of the technology proposed (e.g., infrastructure) and for articulating strategy and developing contingency plans. Business Analysis staff also provide client support and consultation for I.T. issues as well as advice in their area of
expertise. In addition, incumbents have a team orientation and are focused, at all times, on improving business operations.
