Organizes, directs, manages and controls technical activities of projects that are national, or large and complex in scope. Projects involve participation from and impact multiple functions in the line of business. Project work typically has a sizeable, major impact on the corporation/LOB. Directs coding activites activities to ensure high quality results within defined time, budget schedules and architecture. Organizes technical teams based on identification of needed expertise and manpower requirements. Resolves technical conflicts by working with the application and department architects. Provides mentoring for junior developers and coding standards compliance. Works collaboratively with the application and department architects to plan application migration paths and implement complex systems with 7 x 24 availability. Responsible for working with senior management in articulating technology strategy.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Typically 10+ years of related experience. Project and strategic planning background. In depth strategic understanding of assigned areas of responsibility. Leadership. Strategic Expertise. Problem Resolution. J2EE development experience, with RUP methodology. Previous experience with integration projects using middleware to back-office applications running on mainframe and mid-range platforms.
