xScion Solutions is an Information Technology professional services firm supporting leading commercial clients in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are currently supporting a large healthcare insurance company with some of their key hiring needs and are looking for a Project Manager.

Project Manager
6+ mos. w/probable extension
Salary: $100K-$114K based on experience
Washington, D.C.

Must be local to Washington, D.C. We are not sponsoring H-1Bs at this time.

Project Manager for the following projects:
" Care Coordination Pilot
" Care Coordination Technical Infrastructure
" Migration of MCSource Extracts

Tasks
1. Project Management administrative functions
" Create & maintain project schedules using MS Project.
" Schedule meetings, and write meeting reports
" Write Project Plans, Project Charter, and other Monitoring and Control Documents such as Variance reports, Issues and Risk logs etc.
" Conduct peer reviews, and write summary reports
" Ensure adherence to schedules
" Interact with the technical teams

2. Ensure completion of the project deliverables on time and within scope for the aforementioned projects which include a J2EE/Web development project, a system analysis project associated with an ETL application, and a change/configuration management process design and implementation project for a data warehousing environment.

3. Work cooperatively on integrated team to successfully address any associated risks and issues.
4. Participate in various meetings regarding the coordination of project activities and deliverables
5. Other Project Management deliverables as assigned


Technical competencies
o Strong Project Management Skills
o Excellent knowledge of MS Office 2000 tool set
o Knowledge of and experience in IT environment (Web/Java, Data Warehousing, ETL)
o Knowledge of and experience in full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
o Strong communication skills
o Ability to work independently
o Ability to work under pressure, and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
o Positive attitude
o Experience managing an implementation of a change and configuration management process for a software development life cycle in a data warehousing environment will be plus.
