KEN Staff Position
Description of Responsibilities

1. Report directly to the Education Cabinet CIO.
2. Attend and participate in KEN and KEN-related subcommittee and workgroup meetings for the purpose of facilitating common goals for a comprehensive educational system.
3. Monitor administration of all day-to-day activities of the KEN project; focus on scheduling, budget, deliverables, and risks assessments.
4. Anticipate issues and/or barriers for the committees and the involved agencies to address; as well as, address future and unforeseen issues.
5. Research issues for the committees; e.g. regional optical networks and high priority applications.
6. Facilitate effective communications among the committees and the various agencies and institutions involved in and affected by the KEN project.
7. Prepare meeting minutes, reports and documentation related to the KEN project.
8. Prepare awareness presentations and other types of presentations.
9. Continue to move "The KEN Vision" forward as a tactical person to assure that project activities are consistent with the vision and in line with HB380.
