Project Manager, (must have Lawson ERP with 5+ years of experience on an IBM AS/400 - iSeries midrange system)

Salary: 80 - 100K

Our client has an exceptional opportunity for a Project manager. The successful candidate will mangae projects for the development of new applications as well as maintenance of existing applications.
This individual will manages a staff of programmers, and personally participates in development for large projects.
He/she will be directly responsible for overseeing the various phases of development (analysis, design, implementation, and testing), and periodic status reporting to IT management. Responsible for ensuring project team compliance with established IT General Controls Policies and Procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and manage project plans
2. Manage projects and provide periodic status reports to management
3. Monitor for compliance with ITGC Policies and Procedures, particularly those relating to Applications Development (SDLC) and Change Control
4. Manage activities of developers
5. Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot applications
6. Research new software tools and technologies
7. Respond to issues from user community
8. Work with management to develop IT strategies
9. Establish and maintain standards within iSeries development and operations
10. Provide on-call support

Experience/Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with course work in information systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 6 years of job-related experience with demonstrated competence in all required skills
Skills: Knowledge of information technology systems design and programming, as well as systems analysis, development, planning, and documentation methods and standards; ability to manage and organize projects, specifically monitoring time and resources. Effective communications skills. Demonstrated ability to assess and properly balance conflicting or competing priorities given limited resources.
