GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Our client has developed a new system of play that is transforming the $4 billion (and growing) fantasy sports industry. Over the last 2 years, our client has consistently grown in popularity in all major professional sports and is now preparing for major expansion! They have a need for a Project Manager with excellent and current hands on Java development skills. In this role, you will manage and lead small teams of 5-10 members who are creating the technology behind a major consumer facing sports site! You will also be a key contributor to the technology to this rapidly expanding site by leading the development efforts for large scale web applications. Qualifications:

Strong problem solving skills
At least 2 years of leading successful and completed projects
5+ years of Java development experience
Strong J2EE knowledge (JSP, Servlet, EJB, JDBC)
Strong Software Design skills including Object Oriented Programming
Experience with building large scale N-tier web applications
Experience with Struts, JSTL Hibernate, Spring, MVC Architectures
Experience with Database development (especially Oracle), SQL
Experience with HTML JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX a plus
Knowledge of Application Servers (JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere)
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment
Ability to lead/mentor junior developers
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Liferay Portal a plus
