We have an immediate need for a Project Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
CDI has an immediate opening for a Project Manager for a large corporate client. This is a long term assignment, 7+ months, on CDIs W-2.

The Project Manager will lead a data conversion project through the project definition, data mapping, scripting, testing, and data conversion processes. 10+ years as a Project Manager and experience using the Agile methodology are highly preferred.

Experience Level:
Combination of education and work experience typically equivalent to a Bachelors degree and 10 or more years of technical project management experience

Description:
The PM will lead a major data conversion project. The primary source system will be Siebel and custom applications. The target system will be PeopleSoft CRM.

In general, the description for this position is as follows:

- Using the Agile Methodology, works with business and other technical partners to develop technology concepts, requirements, design alternatives, project schedules, and costs for new systems initiatives.
- Develops plans and highly complex program schedules and budgets.
- Using Agile practices (burn-up charts, metrics, etc.), monitors project status and health (e.g. estimates to actual, team utilization, story to defect ratios, retrospectives, etc.).
- Provides consistent and comprehensive project status including project budget and schedule analysis, change logs, risk analysis, significant issue management/ resolution and communication, usually at the executive levels.
- Provides leadership and coaching to all related technical project management staff while serving in the primary project leadership role.
- At least 10 years as a Project Manager.

The ideal candidate will be able to assist the team in putting together the overall project plan, define the conversion architecture, be able to facilitate the data mapping processes, help determine data cleansing, archiving, and retirement strategies, manage the scripting processes, help define the testing processes, and help define and coordinate the data moves.

The following are specific requirements for the position:

- Expertise leading large data conversion projects where PeopleSoft is the target system.
- Experience with working with diverse geographically and organizationally disbursed teams.
- Understanding of the Agile methodology and how it would apply to a Data Conversion project
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.

Highly desirable experience / skills include the following:

- We would highly prefer someone located in San Francisco
- Experience managing one or more Agile / XP projects.
- Experience with the PeopleSoft CRM module.
