Project Manager
A global leader in software solutions for the finanical industry is presently searching for an energetic and responsible self-starter to serve as a Project Manager I. The Project Manager I will serve as the liaison between our clientele and internal personnel for project initiatives. This high profile position will also be responsible for organizing and coordinating the project life cycle for client initiatives. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

? Responsible for the external management of partner relationships as it pertains to the initiatives of the project.
? Assure that all team members understand and accept their project responsibilities.
? Assist in developing business requirements for sponsored enhancements to the system.
? Assist in reviewing system design and enhancement documentation to facilitate creation of test plans and scripts.
? Maintain and manage issue log and coordinate issues with applicable system/technical representative.
? Consult with Senior Project Managers project requests to determine time frame, funding limitations, approaches for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
? Assist in developing project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allotment of resources for each phase of the project.
? Responsible for handling one project at a time depending on scope of work of each project.
? Coordinate with all appropriate business units to prepare project charter including the scope of work based on solution needed by customer.
? Assist Senior Project Managers in identifying and scheduling project deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
? Assist in directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure delivery on agreed upon business benefits.
? Follow standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
? Prepare project status reports and presentations to keep management, clients and others informed of project status and related issues.

Qualifications

? Bachelor?s Degree in a related field.
? 3-5 years in financial services industry.
? 1-3 years of project management experience.
? Working knowledge of Securities Processing products.
? Excellent project management skills with proven experience in managing several major projects involving diverse operations and technology groups.
? Mastery of group meeting facilitation, skills in issue or conflict identification and resolution.
? Strong problem solving skills with a complete understanding of resource utilization and planning.
? Demonstrated ability to lead diversified team to a successful and common goal when team has no direct reporting structure to them.
? Proven ability to negotiate and influence business decisions and direction.
? Excellent organizational skills.
? Superior verbal and written communication skills.
? Travel is required.
