Description
Responsibilities:
* Design and execution of assigned projects (capital and expense) ensuring EHS issues are addressed throughout all phases of the project life cycle.
* Develop funding packages, project execution plans and provide updated monthly reports.
* Complete projects with an excellent safety record, on time, within budget that delivers functional workspace for our customers keeping both Facilities Solution and EHS groups informed of EHS related issues throughout the projects.
* As an extension of our Facilities Solutions department, utilize Pfizer processes throughout the project process (including value management, risk management, peer reviews, CPA process, constructability reviews, integrated design schedule, contractor safety program).
* Generate RFP*s and participates in bid process and pre-qualification process with Procurement.
* Actively manage the project controls system to update forecast, cash flows and track schedule progression.
* Champion delivery of the project including turnover, closeout, lessons learned, benchmarking

Customer and alliance management:
* Work closely with stakeholders to define the scope of the project.
* Manages strategic alliances with consultants, multi-disciplined teams, contractors, suppliers, and other project management service providers.
* Work closely with site operations with ability to interact with all levels of management on project teams.
* Interact routinely within planner to develop scenarios for both the strategic and tactical planning going forward.
* Monitor, collect, and report site contractor EHS performance.
* Deliver contractor EHS training.
* Conduct EHS inspections of construction site with accompanying findings report.
* Assist EHS with investigations of significant construction related incidents.
* Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) when required.

Personnel, resources, policies, and procedures:
* Mentor the project team members in the planning and implementation of their assigned duties and in developing project goals and objectives.
* Motivates personnel, maintains a high level of morale, and fosters a harmonious work environment.

Experience/Skills
Experience / Education: * Education: BS Engineering or relevant discipline, OSHA certification in construction safety, OSHA construction outreach trainer or equivalent. * Professional Qualifications: Membership of relevant professional bodies. * Experience: At least 2 to 5 years of relevant project engineering and construction safety management experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Fire & Life safety or general industry safety experience a plus. Extensive knowledge of state and federal EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, NRC).
