Description
CDI is currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team.

The purpose of the Project manager position is to manage the high volume change order process associated with the FTTP network to meet the customer’s requirements ensuring customer satisfaction.

This Project manager position requires advanced project management training and skills, excellent time management and ability to multitask.

This position requires an experienced candidate with an extremely wide and diverse area of knowledge in the telecommunications and systems integration industry.

Experience in the project management of the design of video, audio, control and communications subsystems, building layouts, floor plans, rack elevations, and consoles, is a must.

Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and managing resources for various simultaneous tasks is required.

The Project manager should have a high level of expertise in current and future technology and have excellent computer skills.

This person must have excellent customer relationship skills, be able to communicate clearly and concisely with the customer with the ultimate goals of meeting delivery commitments and driving customer satisfaction.

This person must also be able to work effectively with the management team.

This position performs the project management tasks necessary to take a client specified system from inception to completion and client acceptance, controlling costs to insure project completion within budget.

This position must be able to manage the Engineering Change Control process, write change orders, create equipment lists, schedule resources, and determine technical impact of a project.

The PM is the day-to-day liaison with senior technical engineers and architects to ensure delivery of design packages
(shop drawings, MOP, wirelist, etc).

This position will interact on a regular basis with the customer, providing status on customer activities. This position will also interact with site personnel to ensure successful completion of Change Orders, as well as manage contractors and equipment vendors.

Specific responsibilities include:

Responsible for understanding the contact and managing the program to the contract.

Build the project plan (resources and budget)

Manage & mitigate risks to budget and schedule

Schedule resources (engineering/install/inventory control)

Prepare weekly progress reports (internal & external)

Understand training requirement

Track margins, expenses, labor

Inter Project Communications re: ( schedule, resource allocation, financials)

Manage Change Order Process

Write Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

Manage Change Order process end-to-end

Manage and track approvals / pre-approvals with customer

Build ECO project plans

Equipment

Manage BOM (not Sweenyware user) (daily)

Manage returns (equipment changes)

Procurement tracking

Reconcile inventory periodically throughout project ( avoid returns, restocking, etc)

Customer

Manage/Interface w/ Customer

Negotiate deliverables with Customer

Negotiate changes with Customer

Create change orders, get sign off, agree to change schedule

Review Conceptuals and get customer sign off.

Obtain final Customer sign off of change order/drawings.

Engineering Interface

Monitor engineering progress, manage design reviews with customer.

Prepare / implement design reviews and requirement sign offs

3rd Party management

Coordinate 3rd party activities (i.e. antenna installation, IPG, VOD, etc.)


Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in an engineering, broadcast or Cable HE fields.

At least ten (10) years of significant project management experience.

At least ten (10) years of successful customer management.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Thorough working knowledge of Engineering processes and methodologies, and their application to technology projects.

Must have strong leadership and communications skills with previous leadership experience.

Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to understand communication styles of team members and clients who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.

Computer knowledge/skills with the following: Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project.

Ability to travel frequently.df-tc
