Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a / an PROJECT MANAGER to join our team in PLANO, TX.

Job Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will provide overall project leadership and guidance for Perot Systems’ Corporate projects.
  • Defines and manages the overall program/project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements.

  • Manages the creation and delivery of discrete deliverables and provides leadership, assistance and advice to internal customers.

  • Directs onshore, offshore, customer and third-party resources to achieve successful project completion.

  • Prepares status reports and meeting results, assures proper project management methodology compliance, assesses and mitigates risk, and recommends alternative solutions to project issues.

  • Provides appropriate project communications to customer, project team, senior leadership and the PMO.

  • Monitors and controls projects, through the tracking of variance to the cost, schedule and scope baselines while ensuring efficient utilization of project resources.

  • Manages project change through a formalized change control process.

  • Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring program/project success criteria.



    • Required Skills:
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in project and program management

  • Proven track record of successful program and/or project delivery results

  • Advanced practitioner of Project Management Institute (PMI) PMBOK-based project management methodology

  • Advanced proficiency with standard project management tools - Microsoft Project,
  • Project Server, all Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong customer relationship management experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, including experience with executive-level presentations and interactions


    • Desired Skills:
  • 3-5 years of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience

  • Experience with managing Microsoft application development and upgrade projects (Sharepoint, Project Server, MOSS)

  • PMI Membership and Participation


    • Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Business or IT related field


    • Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • Must have or be pursuing PMP Certification from PMI Institute
