Description
Project Manager with a minimum of 7 years experience will be responsible for the planning and execution of a complex, high priority project for a large Trading system. The project will convert functionality from a Legacy COBOL application to a new distributed application, while being designed to facilitate future enhancements.

Day to Day responsibilities and deliverables include but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage scope/requirements gathering
  • Define project tasks/deliverables
  • Estimate tasks
  • Plan the project
  • Execute the project plan
  • Monitor and report project status
  • Manage project risks/issues.
  • Manage project resources
Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of project management experience. PMP preferred.
  • At least 7 years experience in the financial/trading market
  • Experience in managing cross platform projects
  • Distributed Systems (Java, LINUX, Tandem), experience in implementing migration projects is a plus
  • Financial services industry experience preferred particularly in futures and trade processing.
  • Successful project management and implementation experience (references required)
  • Ability to lead a cross functional group, provide direction and structure
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, Matrix environment
  • Must have experience managing project resources with varying skills levels
  • Excellent oral/written communications skills and collaboration skills
  • Must have proven customer service track record
  • Must be flexible to adapt to project issues and dependencies which may affect the plan.

Required Skills:
Project Management, PMP (Preferred), Trading Industry Experience Required
