Description
The Project Manager will report to the Director of Project Management and will be responsible for managing telephony projects, including but not limited to, system VoIP deployments from planning stages through implementation. The Project Manager's roll will include functional resource coordination, technical resource allocation, and budget/cost management. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business processes, product requirements and overall enterprise impacts the project may have upon the existing system infrastructure. The Project Manager will manage technical tasks and resources for successful project completion, and will facilitate the process of transitioning the project from a testing environment to a production environment.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Perform technical project management including the project management of the architecture deployment, IT system development, process and operations procedures, testing, and deployment of telephony products within Cox markets.

2. Provide full support for development efforts, including concept development, business requirements analysis, system design, testing, documentation, and operational implementation. Participate in the creation of technical design and testing phases of the project.

3. Facilitate the development of change control and change management processes, and ensure enforcement of same.

4. Budget/cost management activities, including accurately tracking project resource allocation and monitoring variances against budget.

5. Develop and manage project planning and communication with cross-functional project team by utilizing standard project management tools such as MS-Project. Ensure that a clear communications plan is agreed upon by project stakeholders, than implemented by Project Manager.

6. Manage day-to-day project activities such as architecture design and deployment, testing, implementation and performance measurement.

7. Develop and maintain a comprehensive competitive assessment
Experience/Qualifications:
College Degree and project management experience required. Candidate should be able to provide examples successful cross-functional project leadership, as well as demonstrate their ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidate shall possess a well-rounded project management skill set including project planning, analysis, and implementation capabilities

Experience/Skills
Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience in the telephony or cable arena are required. Experience managing VoIP deployments a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as this person will interact with all levels of management within the organization.
