Job Description:


Title: Project Manger (Web)
Duration: 4 months
Location: Waukegan

EXPERIENCE: 7 - 9 Years

Responsibilities:

Manages the activities and people associated with the project and the success of that project.
Works with user to identify the user's need. Delivers quality systems solutions to business problems.
Develops conceptual level requirements in the analysis phase.
Supports the production environment proactively through tracking

Responsible for the ongoing systems needs of the client/user community.

Competencies:

Provide supervision; develop group goals and objectives; monitor and control client production charges; develop and evaluate staffing plans; utilizes formal SDLC to coordinate system development activities; provide project status reports; identify and define user needs; analyze project proposals; develop conceptual systems requirements; develop systems integration requirements; develop systems phasing plan; provide business application consultation; provide problem tracking/management; and prepare and deliver presentations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Information Services, or Computer Science preferred; ten to twelve years of work experience preferred.

Seven to nine years experience in professional consulting and in program/project management; formal training in SDLC methodologies; good analytical and problem solving ability, creativity, and insight; proven ability to motivate employees and create a positive working environment; strong interpersonal and communication skills and a strong political awareness.

The objective of Manager, Internet Platform is to enable the migration and management of our client's Internet Web sites on a common infrastructure.

This role will ensure the appropriate administration of the portfolio of our client's Web sites, including consistent appearance, common features and functions, consistent navigation and common technology.

Effective Web site portfolio management will be accomplished with close execution of projects to migrate, consolidate and decommision sites in the Abbott Web portfolio.

Liaison/coordinates with divisional web managers and design agencies to understand the CMS/Platform environment Implements pilot projects consistent with the Long Range Plan (HCP interaction, customer reach, economies of scale)

Translates and implements cross-division and cross site business needs for online programs (features) Consults with IT/eBusiness committees (Web Council) Validates recommended Platform migration candidates for the prescribed period Validates retirement and consolidation candidates Review and optimize the procedure for medical, regulatory, and legal review, and approval for online properties Handle post-launch inquiries for Web sites (i.e., abbott.com) Manage content through Med/Reg/Legal Review

Experience with Documentum CMS and Web Publisher 5 is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail are required
