Our Software Consulting division provides eCommerce, Enterprise Content Management, Messaging & Collaboration, and legacy application modernization services to customers across the US.

Sirius' growing Software Consulting division has an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager with proven experience delivering full-cycle software development projects in a consulting environment. eCommerce experience, particularly with WebSphere Commerce Suite, is a strong plus but not required for this role.

Incumbents in this position will be tasked with project planning, estimating, executing, tracking, and implementing of the deliverables. The Project Manager will work closely with the functional business areas, external customers, and vendors in defining application/project priorities, scope approach, resource requirements, timing, deliverables, and funding. The Project Manager will provide leadership and direction to the project team.

The Project Manager will work with the Program Manager and Solution Architect in the creation of Statements of Work (SOW) and estimates. The Project Manager will travel regularly to client locations (up to 25% of the time) and will perform work both on- and off-site.


Manage Stakeholder Relationships by:
Ensuring that stakeholder interests are identified and addressed
Promoting effective individual and team performance
Managing stakeholder communications
Facilitating external stakeholder participation

Manage the Development of the Plan for the Project by:
Defining the work of the project
Ensuring the plan for the project reflects relevant legal requirements
Documenting risks and risk responses for the project
Confirming project success criteria
Developing and integrating project baselines

Manage Project Progress by:
Monitoring, evaluating, and controlling project performance
Monitoring risks to the project
Reflecting on practice

Manage Product Acceptance by:
Ensuring that the product of the project is defined
Ensuring that changes to the product of the project are monitored and controlled
Securing acceptance of the product of the project

Manage Project Transitions by
Managing project start-up
Managing transition between project phases
Managing project closure


Travel to various client locations (up to 25% of the time) and some weekend work required
Current driver's license required
Air travel capability required

Experience/Skills

Ability to work closely with clients and act in a professional manner

Associates degree OR 4 year high school degree and 5+ years relevant experience, AND/OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Three or more years project management experience, with experience in a consulting environment strongly preferred
One or more years experience in managing projects using the full software lifecycle development model, preferably in a consulting environment
