Ensure the overall success of the KIDS project through the execution of duties such as:
Work with the product manager, team leaders, and vendors to manage the KIDS project budget and work plan
Follow all project management procedures established for KDE IT-enabled business projects including scope management, issues management, risk management, communications management, etc.
Manage the process by which project priorities are established by the KIDS Project Sponsor and Steering Committee
Manage the resolution of project problems and conflicts, escalating when necessary to the Project Sponsor
Ensure that impacted teams are involved and informed as early as possible in the execution of the project
With the product manager, act as the communication focal point particularly with the project sponsor, steering committee, and the USDOE
Prepare grant status reports for the USDOE
With the product manager, facilitate the definition of project milestones and deliverables when necessary
Coordinate procurements required for the successful completion of the KIDS project with the appropriate KDE staff

Must be a proven Project Manager with data warehousing experience to manage the project, not the technical aspects. Will handle the scheduling of meetings with in-house and vendor personnel; track progress, and build relationships with various stakeholders.

Experience/Skills
Must be a Senior level Project manager who has been responsible for managing projects that are high visibility and mission critical, require the implementation of vendor solutions, systems implementation and large-scale development.

Experience in the development and deployment of education or non-education related data warehouses and business intelligence applications is highly desired.

PMP not required, but would be a plus. Any procurement experience in a government setting would be ideal.
