Description
Our client, a leading vendor of Telecommunications and Software Systems for the Public Safety and Dispatch Communications sector, is seeking a Project Manager for a large scale integration with the NJ State Police, involving al aspects of Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and e-911. This role's primarily responsibility is to coordinate all activities related to the deployment of products for a given project.

Specific duties include:

The primary role of the Project Manager is coordinate all activities related to the execution of projects. Prime responsibility is to manage the overall scope, quality, cost and schedule in order to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Specific duties include:
? Prime customer interface for all ongoing project activities. Once contract is awarded, maintains the customer relationship.
? Responsible to establish initial contact with the end user and RBOC representative upon receipt of the sales order notification from Inside Sales group;
? Ensure completeness of the customer order against the sales order. Ensures that all process controls are adhered to (sales order review form, approvals for non-standard offerings and out of scope material, etc.);
? Prepares and/or updates the Scope of Work document;
? Establish, monitor and update the project schedule on a regular basis to reflect a current status of the project;
? Tracks project profitability (actual vs. budget);
? Monitors project implementation to ensure conformance with customer specifications;
? Manages project changes or deviations from the project schedule as they occur during project implementation;
? Updates backlog report on a weekly basis in order to provide an accurate view of the expected services revenue;
? Advises when services are rendered and initiates billing process;
? Escalates problems/issues of a sensitive nature to Manager, Projects & Services;
? Interface with all relevant departments to ensure that project milestones are met in a timely and cost-efficient manner, such as:
? Project kick-off meeting
? Site survey
? Equipment shipment
? Installation
? Training
? Cut-over and acceptance
? Maintain and archive all communications with the customers;
? Maintain continuous contact with end user and RBOC throughout project life cycle;
? Prepares Post-mortems.

Qualifications:

? College education in a technical field or in Administration with relevant experience in telephony;
Must have some exposure to Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and e-911 systems, whether with a equipment or software vendor, network services provider or VAR/ Systems Integrator.
? Minimum 5 years of experience in Customer Services and/or Training;
? Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Coordination or Management;
? Experience in the deployment of telecommunication equipment;
? Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project;
? Excellent communicator and well organized;
? Ability to manage stress in a multi-task environment and good analytical skills;
? Be autonomous, sociable and highly motivated;
? Proficient in English, oral and written.

The incumbent must be located within the region, possess a clean driving record.
