Description
A client of Modis is seeking a project manager to manage an on going that will go for about 2 and a half years.

The project involves developing a suite of generic customer care and billing applications for cable/broadband companies, that can be customized for any client. They are taking the best of breed pieces from it's on software, as well as developing new pieces of the software.

This qualified indivual needs to have about 5 years exp as a PM, with heavy SDLC experience, from beginning to end of the cycle. Preferably in a J2EE environment. Strong project design and project scheduling experience is a plus. The candidate needs to have experience with the 'waterfall' method of software development, and be proficient in excell, MS Project, and Visio. Being able to manage the software development process with minimal scope creep is key. Setting, making, and managing deadlines and project schedule is key. PMP is a plus, but not needed. My client places a large emphasis on bachelor's degrees. This position requiresn particular is interested in strong and STABLE work history. Someone who hasn't jumped around a lot, and has at least 2-3 years at their last position.

Amdocs tech environment is J2EE, so I would prefer candidates with experience within that software environment. Cable industry experience is a plus, as well as billing software experience.
