Description
Systems Integration & Development, an IT solutions provider located in Rockville, Maryland is currently seeking a talented Project Manager to manage the day-to-day activities of assigned projects in addition to supervising of the personnel assigned to projects under his/her purview. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of project performance/status reports including cost elements. This is a full-time position located in Washington, D.C. Additional roles and responsibilities include: ? Responsible for organizing, planning, and directing all support activities for assigned projects. ? Manages one or more major projects. ? Formulates and reviews project performance plans, technical and contractual performance, and deliverable items. ? Determines project costs, and ensures conformance with all prescribed standards, schedules, and statements of work related to all assigned projects. ? Manages the day-to-day activities of assigned projects and is directly responsible for supervision of the personnel assigned to projects under his/her purview. ? Responsible for the development and maintenance of project performance/status reports including cost elements. ? Interfaces with Government personnel on a continuous basis. Experience: ? 6 years of progressive technical or managerial experience with at least 3 years focused on managing major projects within a government environment. ? Bachelor?s degree in a related field is preferred. Four years of documented work related experience may be substituted for degree requirements. ? Project Management training and/or certification is required. Skills: ? Solid knowledge of the PMLC and PMBOK. ? Ability to use own judgment and initiative in providing technical direction to ensure performance and for resolving problems. ? Clearly demonstrated experience in the successful supervision of software development projects. ? Strong verbal and written communication skills. ? Must be organized and detail-oriented. ? Must have a team player attitude. ? Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.
