Description
Systems Integration & Development, an IT solutions provider located in Rockville, Maryland is currently seeking a Project Manager with experience in leading information technology projects for Federal government initiatives. The successful candidate should have solid knowledge of the project management life cycle. Experience in managing project teams, including tasking individuals, and monitoring work quality is a plus. This is a full-time position located in Washington, DC. Additional roles and responsibilities include: ? Support teams that provide enterprise-wide solutions including web development, software development, network administration, and system engineering. ? Perform contract administration and manage client expectations. ? Clarify issues and resolve problems by coordinating resources as necessary. ? Liaison between client, staff, and SID senior management. ? Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. ? Technical interviews and new employee orientations. ? Certify timesheets, coach individuals, and perform ongoing evaluations. ? Advise client in current IT technologies, software development, tools, and methodologies. Experience: ? 10+ years work experience including at least 5 years on-site government project management. ? Bachelor?s degree is strongly preferred. Four years of documented work experience may be substituted for degree requirements. ? PMP certification is required. Skills: ? Experience leading large, matrix-organized teams. ? Solid knowledge of the Project Management Life Cycle. ? Experience in software/system development life cycle. ? Understanding of enterprise-wide systems and software development methodologies. ? Strong verbal and written communication skills. ? Strong organization skills and detail-oriented. ? Must have a team player attitude. ? Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.
