Description
Duration: 6 months + Complete Description: The IT project management consultant will report directly to the Managing Director and will work closely with the Planning and Project Management Lead and the Business and Project Analysts responsible for individual project management. This person will evaluate existing project lifecycle processes and recommend improvements in current processes with specific action plans for: business case analysis, scope definition, time and cost estimating, risk assessment, business and functional requirements, resource planning and ROI analysis. The candidate must be capable of developing, organizing, monitoring, and providing consultation on these critical IT processes, and be able to work with staff to ensure that the planning and project lifecycle processes are understood/socialized, followed, and appropriate to operational context. This will require a focus on mentoring, coaching and training the Business and Project Analyst staff in these areas of focus. This position will also be responsible for auditing existing projects and providing specific remediation recommendations for each project. The candidate must be able to understand, communicate, and execute well on both the strategic and operational levels in project and program management. The ideal candidate will incorporate best practice IT planning and project management processes to strengthen ability to support enterprise-wide business processes with a specific plan for advancing our usage of SDLC methodology.
