Description
Project Managers 2 (PM2) are accountable for managing key/top priority projects through all phases of the project life cycle including scoping, business case, development, testing, and launch. They actively manage and lead the efforts of project team members as required for successful completion of the project(s).

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages the development and execution of large complex project plans

  • Accountable for managing key/top priority projects
  • Manages multiyear, multi million dollar projects
  • Manages multiple projects independently or through other project managers
  • Manages internal enterprise-wide or corporate focused projects
  • Manages projects of 2 years or more in length
  • Defines WBS, estimates, and schedules for large complex projects
  • Creates realistic project plans and sees them through to successful delivery including monitoring key milestones, issues, and risks across all work streams of the project(s).
  • Develops or assists in the development of formal business case including cost benefit analysis for large projects to be presented to executive management for approval and funding
  • Advanced EVM knowledge.
  • Implements and maintains processes ensuring compliance to EVM goals
  • Develops and implements corrective actions based on EVM analysis
  • Implements and maintains quality systems
  • Strong understanding of CMMI concepts
  • Drives changes to processes and methods in support of improved delivery.
  • Effective leadership of project with 15+ members (direct or indirect resources).
  • Manages the identification and staffing of resource requirements for the project and subprojects
  • Document and deliver performance feedback to project team members involving the right parties to resolve performance issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prepare and present project update to executive level steering committee
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective interaction with project owners and executive level leaders
  • Responsible for managing stakeholder expectation and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Manages project communications with reliable, accurate, and meaningful flow of communication
  • Manages risk planning, analysis, response and control on a scheduled basis across all phases and projects
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Participates in the maintenance of contractual documents
  • Leads the development of SOW or RFP response
  • Manages the Change Control Process per contractual requirements
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office, MS Share Point and expert in MS Project
  • Proficient in advanced techniques of negotiation with equal client level personnel, third party, and all appropriate internal organizations
  • Expert in project management methodology and solution delivery methodologies
  • Ensures that all project tasks follow DCO delivery methodology and that deliverables meet applicable Acxiom/DCO standards
  • Defines project resources, project plans and tasks, and estimates project effort to ensure project(s) are successfully completed on time and within project budget.
  • Participates in the development and improvement of Project Management methodology as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Participates in the development and improvement of other solution delivery methodologies
