Description
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, estimating, providing day-to-day management, leadership, direction and administration across the full project lifecycle (planning through implementation) on small, medium and large size projects or portions of a major project/program. Works with Technology and Business teams as well as the relevant Functional Managers to ensure the project adheres to the comapny's Enterprise Methodology, project scope and to the company's project standards. Must provide solutions that meet the business objectives and deliver on time, on budget and with a high degree of quality. Also provide guidance to other project managers and contribute to the project manager center of excellence.

- Working with team leads, functional managers and project support staff (Architects, DBAs etc.) to create, maintain and manage the project schedule.
-Establishing, managing, and controlling project scope through a structured scope management process.
-Team Leadership - Planning for and acquiring team resource needs. Making the most effective use of people involved with the project. This entails day to day team management, team communication, identifying and leveraging stong skills while developing others.
-Project Communication- Ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, and storage of project information. Preparing project status report and keeping upper management, business clients and others informed of project status and related issues.
-Be proactive participant in the creation and evolution of project management best practices within the organization.
-Five or more years of professional project management experience, related experience (consulting, software development, client management, team management)
-Project management experience in software development and business planning across the full project lifecycle (planning, requirements definition, design, build , and deployment)
-Baseline discipline experience as a developer, technical/applications architect, test analyst or business analyst
-Experience managing client relationships
-Strong planning and estimating skills for time and cost across all phasses of the project lifecycle
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work with multiple teams, delegating work load and ensuring team efficiency
-Must be able to identify, assess and resolve complex business problems/issue/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation
-Ability to work with the busines users, understand their needs and translate those needs to the final project solution
-Function as a leader throughout the project lifecycle
-Understanding of software development methodologies such as RUP, Waterfall, and SDLC etc.
-Project Management Certification is desirabledf-tc
