Description
Project ManagerLocation: Irvine, CAJob Description:The ideal candidate has experience planning, directing, and coordinating activities of projects. The individual will ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within a given time frame. Responsibilities include:*
  • Reviewing project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.*
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.*
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.*
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.*
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.*
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.*
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.*
  • Coordinates necessary training, testing, and insurance for job-specific requirements. Requirements:The successful candidate must have prior project management experience on project greater involving 10 or more staff. Knowledge of asset documentation, laser scanning, 3D as-built modeling, piping design, and general process industries business practices is a big plus. In addition, the candidate must:*
  • At least 3 to 5 years prior project management experience*
  • PMI certification a plus*
  • Project scheduling experience with tools such as Microsoft Project*
  • Have good people skills*
  • Be a highly motivated, entrepreneurial type person with enormous personal energy and stamina*
  • Have a strong bias for action*
  • Possess strong leadership skills with infectious enthusiasm to maximize organizational potential*
  • Have good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office and specifically with Microsoft Excel*
  • Be self confident and capable of making hard decisions*
  • Have good strategic sense*
  • Have excellent communication skills Travel: expect travel to client sites between 10% and 50% of the time.Educational Requirements:*
