Project Manager for Health Insurance

Can you direct a diverse project team towards a common goal?

Position Overview:
To develop project proposals, project budgets and plans. To contribute extensively through the entire engagement life cycle. To manage the day-to-day operations, coordination and completion of projects within the IT department.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of projects (from start to finish the implementation of projects)
Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of projects.
Provide structure to the projects to deliver results on time and within budget.
Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors and other departments involved in the projects.
Prepare reports for management regarding status of projects.
Lead and direct the work of others on the teams.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer/Chemical Engineering/Computer Science/related technical diploma.
PMP certified project manager.
6 years of project manager experience in successfully leading full life cycle business process and/or information Technology projects, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction.
Have to be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships at all levels.
Solid understanding of practical issues in process control systems.
5 years of programming experience with Object Oriented and/or other programming languages.
5 years of experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL server)
5 years of applied experience with project management principles, practices and methodologies eg RUP, EUP, Agile, PMI, CMM etc.
