Job Description:

The Project Manager has responsibility for leading a set of project related activities in accordance with the system development life cycle (SDLC) in direct support of a release within the program. The key role of the project manager is to manage and deliver the detailed, integrated work for a single project. Project managers work directly to support the program manager to ensure that the budget, resources, timeframes, plans, standards, architecture and deliverables are exactly in line with the integrated release plans.

Core Responsibilities:

§ Manages all project development activities associated with a single project.

§ Manages the project schedule and budget for the project in line with the SDLC

§ Conducts quality and technical reviews to ensure quality of the project deliverables.

§ Arranges regular project reviews with the release managers and key stakeholders.

§ Arranges quality assurance and technical reviews for the project.

§ Produces a regular project status reports for the release manager.

§ Manages project level risks and issues.

§ Assists release manager is developing risk mitigation and contingency plans.

§ Escalates IT issues to the Program Office as required for resolution.

§ Ensures that the detailed business requirements are documented and clearly understood.

§ Manages the creation of all necessary SDLC deliverables for the project.

§ Maintains staff technical proficiency and productivity, and provides training where required.

§ Participates in change control meetings to approve system changes.

§ Ensures all project level deliverables are complete.

§ Assists release manager in developing a release level test plan.

§ Assists the business customers in developing project level customer acceptance test cases.

§ Participates in all release integration, systems and customer testing activities.

§ Develops an action plan for any project deliverable/function that does not receive user sign-off.

§ Obtains Program Manager approvals for final project deliverables.

§ Participates in launch activities.
