My client, located in Memphis, TN is a not-for-profit, multispecialty physician practice with over 300 doctors.
They offer a wide range of primary care and specialty services for children and adults. The team of physicians and other medical professionals also provide care at many hospitals and ambulatory clinics in the Mid-South.
We are currently recruiting for a PROJECT MANAGER
The ideal candidate will be a PMP who is willing to roll up his/her sleeves and dig in to project details, not just directing the project from above.
We are not looking for the PMO leadership type.
Job Summary:
Project manager will provide management for projects in Clinical Information Systems (particularly TouchWorks), as well as, cross project management for other areas within Information Systems such as IDX and technical infrastructure projects related to TouchWorks.
This position will work closely with the Clinical Information Systems team for all project related initiatives including software implementations, upgrades, change control, etc.
Key customers will be IS management and/or projects managers, operations managers, clinic managers, physicians, and users of the clinical systems.

¨ Lead and manage TouchWorks implementation or upgrade project work
¨ Apply standard Project Management methodology
¨ Business justification for projects
¨ Manage CIS change control process
¨ Clinical, financial and technical platforms integration
¨ Systems effectiveness evaluation
¨ Process effectiveness and evaluation
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
¨ BA/BS in Computer Science or related field with 7-10 years of progressive experience
¨ Experience with large-scale systems implementation and project management
¨ Demonstrated leadership skills including strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
¨ Strong project management experience, including PMI certification
¨ Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse healthcare environment and the ability to run a project
¨ Requires system/technical expertise in multiple healthcare applications or service oriented industries
¨ Experience with Allscripts TouchWorks application preferred
¨ High level of analytical skills
¨ Demonstrates high levels of knowledge at the enterprise level within a complex academic medical center environment
¨ Previous experience with Medical Group clinics and practices
